What to do in San Carlos, Mexico

San Carlos is a small beach town in the Sea of Cortez in the northern Mexican state of Sonora. It has striking landscapes in a combination of arid mountains facing the sea. It is not touristic developed like other beach resorts in Mexico, which gives it a different feeling and charm. I saw this infographic and decided I have to share it. The amount of non-recyclable trash we generate as society is absurd. The obsession with “cleanliness” and “convenience” are forced on society. I’m sure the long term cost to the environment of this trash (if it were measured somehow) is much higher than the short term benefit it generates. Most was not even needed in the first place.

Adolfo-Babatz-copy.jpgMe da muchísimo gusto y orgullo compartirles la noticia que Endeavor México nombró a Adolfo Babatz como Emprendedor del Año. Adolfo es el fundador y Director General de Clip, la empresa líder en pagos móviles en México.

Yo creo que Adolfo es uno de los mejores emprendedores actualmente en México, habiendo liderado la creación y el crecimiento espectacular de Clip. Adolfo tiene la capacidad de definir una visión, comparable a la de cualquier startup exitoso de Silicon Valley, comunicarla contagiosamente y armar un súper equipo que le ayude a alcanzar esa visión.

Nuestro fondo invirtió en Clip desde su primera ronda y lideramos su Serie A. He tenido el honor de liderar estas inversiones y luego ser miembro del consejo de la empresa, trabajando de forma cercana y en algunos momentos casi diaria con Adolfo.
