Diego Serebrisky

Diego Serebrisky is a pioneer and recognized investor in Latin America. As Co-founder and Managing Partner of Dalus Capital, a Mexico-based venture capital fund (formerly Alta Ventures Mexico), Diego’s expertise in identifying and nurturing early-stage Latin American startups has been invaluable. He focuses on four key investment areas: inclusion (fintech, ed-tech, health tech, and HRtech), climate innovation, business productivity, and digital consumers.

Throughout his career, Diego has led vital investments for Dalus and holds board positions in successful startups, including Clip and Technisys, both of which have achieved unicorn status. He also serves on the boards of Kubo Financiero, Xertica, UnDosTres, Aptuno, Bankingly, DecisionNext, and ZeBrands (as an observer). Diego was a board member at Technisys until the company was acquired by SoFi.

Before founding Dalus Capital, Diego held the position of Managing Director at Advent International, a leading global private equity fund. During his 15-year tenure, he worked in their Mexico City office before relocating to Bogota, Colombia, where he successfully launched and headed Advent’s Colombian office.

Before embarking on his investment career, Diego honed his strategic skills as a consultant with McKinsey & Co., working across diverse locations such as Caracas, Venezuela, Johannesburg, South Africa, and New York City, providing strategic advice to high-profile clients.

A dedicated advocate for the private equity and venture capital industry, Diego served as President of AMEXCAP (the Mexican Private Equity Association) from 2008 to 2009 and as a board member from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, he was a founding member of ColCapital (the Colombian Private Equity Association) and served on its board until 2016.

Passionate about fostering entrepreneurial growth, Diego is an avid contributor to the entrepreneurial ecosystems in Mexico and other Latin American countries. Diego holds a Computer Engineering degree, summa cum laude, from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela, and an MBA from the prestigious MIT Sloan School of Management.
