Humanity continues consuming fossil fuels and carbon dioxide (CO2) continues accumulating in the atmosphere. For the first time, the level of 420 ppm was reached in 2022. The following charts show clearly how humans have caused this.

CO2 (and other greenhouse gases) are driving the heating of the planet which is causing disruptive changes in climate patterns. As CO2 in the atmosphere increases, the problem would become even more serious to the point it will be catastrophic for civilization.
We all need to work in a transition to a non-carbon economy. Some through their work, but all through our personal consumption choices (less gasoline consumption, less meat consumption, etc), pressuring governments and corporations in this direction, and by voting and supporting politicians committing to this transition.
