Apply for first TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield Latin America

360px-TechCrunch_logo.svg.pngIn case you haven’t heard, TechCrunch is staging its first ever Startup Battlefield Latin America, on Nov. 8 in Sao Paulo. The Startup Battlefield is TechCrunch premier startup competition, and their goal is to find the top 15 early stage startups in Latin America and put them on stage to pitch top judges (VCs, founders and TC editors), who will pick a winner.

Applications are open through Aug. 6. You should definitely consider applying if you are an early stage founders in Latin America.

What is “early stage” for TechCrunch? They are looking for product-launch ready companies that are pre-series A. Many companies launch their product on our stage or have recently launched but did so quietly. Importantly, the event if free for founders and TechCrunch does not take any equity in the startups.

I think this is a great opportunity for Latam startups:

  • The successful applicants join the ranks of Startup Battlefield contestants – 750 to date – who have raised $8 billion
  • Teams will receive travel support to Sao Paulo, as needed.
  • Video from every pitch will be published to TechCrunch and other platforms, where hundreds of thousands of people will view it
  • The winner will receive $25,000 and a free trip to Disrupt, where they can exhibit and, if they qualify, compete in Startup Battlefield at Disrupt

Time is short. Apply now for Startup Battlefield Latin America.
