These are my book recommendations for the month. It is an eclectic list mostly fiction novels.
- El Aleph by Jorge Luis Borges (original edition in Spanish
and in English
). Entertaining but dense fantastic short stories. A very unique style.
- Ready Player One by (original edition in English
and in Spanish
). Uber-80s geeky science fiction, very entertaining adventure despite the fact that does not present a well thought and congruent future. The author is more focus in including references to the 80s than structuring a logical future. A movie directed by Spielberg has just been released.
- Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and his years of pilgrimage by Murakami (editions in Spanish
and English
). This is another great execution of Murakami’s calm writing style, which I really enjoy.
- Astrophysics for people in a hurry (original edition in English
and in Spanish
) by Neil deGrasse Tyson. An easy and short read that explains the most recent discoveries in astrophysics.
Enjoy.
Here is my previous recommendation.
Definitely second Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Strongly advice to read it (or hear the audiobook like in my case) before watching the movie 🙂
