The key greenhouse gases methane and CO2 continue accumulating in the atmosphere. They are responsible for the warming of the planet that drives climate change. These gases are being generated by modern society through the burning of coal, oil, and natural gas, modern beef production, and other human activities.
Global atmospheric methane concentration reached 1,920 ppb for the first time in over 800,000 years. The following chart is just incredible and very discouraging.

All greenhouse gases continue growing unabated as this chart shows.

These gases are heating our planet with no evidence of any slowdown. No significant progress has been made to stop these emissions since the first COP in 1995, and the warming of the planet continues.

Still every week I have to fight with “educated” climate deniers that claim that it is fine for civilization to keep running on fossil fuels and that many of us are radical scaremongers. If you have to deal with climate deniers, here you can see some recommendations on how to respond to them.
